The third question of Fatwa No. ( 4494 )
Q 3: Is it permissible to raise one's voice with one's parents during a discussion about religious matters , and will their supplication be accepted if they supplicate against you while you are trying to advise them?
A 3: Allah has commanded kindness to parents, dutifulness toward them, and gentleness with them. He the Exalted said:[Al-Isra 17:23-25]
From this noble verse, you learn that it is not permissible to raise one's voice at them; rather, it is obligatory to be polite with them and to lower the wing of humility to them. As for their supplication against their child, its danger is great, and it is deserving of being accepted if the child is unjust toward them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

A 3: Allah has commanded kindness to parents, dutifulness toward them, and gentleness with them. He the Exalted said:
(23) And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. (24) And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small." (25) Your Lord is most knowing of what is within yourselves. If you should be righteous [in intention] - then indeed He is ever, to the often returning [to Him], Forgiving.
