Kindness to one's parents and treating them with good conduct
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7536 )
Q 2: Does Islamic law prevent a son from quickly taking a load from his father or mother if he sees them carrying it? And does Islam command its callers to teach children to belittle their Muslim fathers and mothers, even if they are the opposite of them? What is the ruling of the law regarding them if they do not prevent their children from praying?
A 2: The evidences of the Shari'ah indicate the obligation of kindness to one's parents and treating them with good conduct, and helping to carry their loads is part of being kind to them. It is not permissible to belittle them. However, if they are disbelievers, one should not obey them in disobedience to Allah, such as associating partners with Him, or the like. Allah the Exalted said:[Luqman 31:15] And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me
