Eating Excessively

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The ninth question from Fatwa number ( 5828 )
Q9: Is eating excessively forbidden?
A9: Yes, it is forbidden for a Muslim to eat excessively in a way that harms him; because that is extravagance, and extravagance is forbidden; due to the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He):
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess.
[Al-A'raf 7:31]
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
