Q1: Often, O Shaykh, we cook our own food, and after finishing eating, there is a surplus of food that we throw away when we are done eating. We hope you will clarify the legal ruling on this. May Allah reward you with good.
A 1: It is obligatory to respect what remains of the food and give it to someone who will eat it, whether a person or an animal. If there is no one who needs it, it should be placed in a pure place. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
