Fatwa No. ( 15683 )
Praise be to Allah alone, and may peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. After that: The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta has reviewed what was sent to His Eminence the Grand Mufti from His Excellency the Director of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Armed Forces, accompanied by the question submitted by Corporal (R. A. H.), which was referred to the Committee by the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars with number (4178) and date 12 \ 8 \ 1413 AH. The questioner asked a question, the text of which is: We inform you that one of my hands was burned due to
an accident, and a surgical operation was performed to graft the skin, leaving areas where the skin appears with white spots. I consulted a dermatologist who informed me that it is possible to inject a dye substance under the skin in areas different from the skin color, and that this substance would be the color of the skin to match the skin, so that, if Allah wills, the white spots on the surface of the hand would disappear. Please note that this dye will be permanent. Out of my fear that there may be a religious prohibition in this, I request an answer to this matter.
After the Committee studied it, it answered that if the reality is as the questioner stated, then there is no harm in it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
