The second question of Fatwa No. ( 6774 )
Q 2: What is the ruling on drinking beer that has written on its bottle: alcohol-free?
A 2: If drinking a large amount of it causes intoxication, then drinking both the large amount and the small amount is forbidden; because it is khamr (intoxicants), and drinking khamr is forbidden. If drinking a large amount of it does not cause intoxication, then it is permissible to drink it; because it is not khamr. The criterion is whether it causes intoxication or not, not the names, so one should not rely on what is written on it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
