What is the ruling on drinking alcohol-free beer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : What is the ruling on drinking alcohol-free beer?

The Shaykh : Drinking beer is permissible, and all the beer in our country, Saudi Arabia, has been tested and contains no intoxicating substance. If a person drinks it, he falls under the general statement of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً
[Al-Baqarah 2:29]
And if you doubt whether something is lawful or forbidden, it is lawful. If you doubt whether a food, drink, or garment is forbidden or lawful, consider it lawful until evidence establishes that it is forbidden.
