Riding in the bus with those who drink intoxicants
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The ninth question from the fatwa number ( 18074 )
Q 9: Sometimes, or mostly, in the winter season, drinking is common among the Russians, so we are in the bus like sardines in a can, and therefore we smell the scent of these drinks emanating from their mouths . What is the ruling on that if the amount is large and it caused dizziness without intoxicating?
A 9: If you can avoid riding with them in those buses, that is better and safer. And if you are compelled to do so, what comes from their mouths and does not intoxicate you is not considered intoxication, even if it bothers you. But, as mentioned, avoiding riding with them is better and safer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
