Circumcising a girl who bled and then died

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 17241 )
Q: I am asking about a problem that has caused me doubts which have not left my heart, and here is the matter: I circumcised a girl three days after her birth, and a moderate amount of bleeding came from her, and she remained for about 48 hours, then she passed away . I do not know whether the circumcision was the cause of death or not, and I am an expert in this matter, having circumcised more than thirty girls without anything happening, but my heart was not at ease until I asked. The girl’s mother also passed away about ten days after the birth, and the girl’s father is still alive but does not know anything about the cause of the girl’s death, and I have not told him anything. I ask you to issue a ruling on this matter.
A: If, as you mentioned, you are a professional in the trade of circumcision, and it was according to the principles of the profession in a way that achieves the purpose and does not cause harm, and there was no negligence on your part
in the mentioned case, then you owe nothing. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
