The seventh question of Fatwa number ( 7518 )
Q 7: What is the ruling on a man who travels a long distance and leaves his wife behind, and she gives birth to a boy in his absence, while the marriage between them is still valid? Is it permissible for the man to reject this child, or to divorce his wife in this matter, or what should he do?
A 7: It is not permissible for him to disown the child except through li'an, and if li'an takes place
the separation occurs, and she is never lawful to him again, and this is to be done in the court. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
