Fatwa No. ( 3692 )
Q: There are two sisters who were married to two brothers, and each of the sisters had a daughter, so the girls became paternal cousins and maternal cousins to each other. One of them got married, so is it permissible for me to marry the other?
A: If the matter is as you described, it is permissible for you to marry the second girl, and the fact that each of the two girls is a paternal cousin and a maternal cousin to the other does not prevent marrying both of them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
