Marrying two paternal cousins

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 1386 )
Q: What is the ruling on marrying two paternal cousins?
A: It is not permissible to marry two sisters; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted in the context of enumerating the prohibited women:
and that you take [in marriage] two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurredوَأَنْ تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الأُخْتَيْنِ إِلا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ
[An-Nisa 4:23]
And likewise, it is not permissible to marry a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt; because of what was narrated by Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
One should not combine a woman and her father's sister, nor a woman and her mother's sister in marriage.لا يجمع بين المرأة وعمتها ولا بين المرأة وخالتها
Sahih Muslim 1408a
Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim, and al-Bukhari narrated from Jabir the same. As for marrying a woman and her paternal cousin, that is permissible; because the original ruling is that it is permissible, and there is no evidence that obliges the prohibition.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
