Preventing pregnancy without the husband's knowledge and refusing intercourse

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 8483 )
Q: I have been married for 20 years, and my wife, from the first day I married her, has not desired intercourse. I become very, very tired when I ask for it. I informed her family about this, but I found no one to respond to me with anything. They think that this method makes the wife command her husband, putting him under her command. Now, she takes contraceptive pills, and I have a desire for children, knowing that I have four daughters and a son from her. She has been taking the pills for ten years, knowing that
she had no medical impediment. Please provide the religious ruling: is she correct or wrong? Please provide the religious ruling.

A: If the situation is as you described, she is wrong and sinful for two reasons: First: she took contraceptive pills without having an illness, as you stated. Second: she refused you when you asked for intercourse and did not make herself available to you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.إذا دعا الرجل امرأته إلى فراشه فأبت فبات غضبان عليها لعنتها الملائكة حتى تصبح

narrated by Ahmad and al-Bukhari and Muslim . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
