Q: I have been married for 37 years, and for the past 8 years I have prevented my husband from having intercourse with me, and I treat him in a bad way, so what is the ruling in Islam regarding this?
A: It is obligatory for the wife to have relations with her husband in a good manner and to treat him with excellence, seeking the pleasure of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). It is not permissible for a woman to refuse her husband’s bed when he calls her, except for a valid religious excuse. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
