Refusing marriage to those of good character and religion because she was turned away in the prayer for guidance (istikharah): is this valid?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 7932 )
Q6: More than one committed Muslim man proposed to a Muslim woman, and she refused to marry them because she was turned away in the prayer for guidance (istikharah), even though they are of good character and religion. Is this behavior sound, or does it contradict the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
When someone whose religion and character you are pleased with comes to you then marry (her to) himإذا جاءكم من ترضون دينه وخلقه فأنكحوه
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1085Da'if (Darussalam)

A6: The hadith mentioned is weak. It was reported that al-Bukhari did not consider it preserved, and Abu Dawud classified it among the mursal reports, and Ibn al-Qattan criticized it for being mursal. Therefore, there is no blame on her, but we advise her to hasten to marriage if a suitable suitor proposes to her, regardless of seeking perfection.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
