The suitor after the contract is a mahram to the mother of his fiancée

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 16299 )
Q1: A man proposed to a girl and contracted the marriage with her. Is it permissible for him to look at the mother of the fiancée and shake her hand , or is she still a non-mahram to him until he enters with the fiancée, at which point the wife’s mother becomes a mahram to him, and it becomes permissible for him to look at her and greet her?
A1: The mother of the fiancée before the marriage contract with her daughter is considered a non-mahram woman to the suitor. It is not permissible for her to uncover herself before him, nor is it permissible for him to look at her or
shake her hand. However, after the marriage contract with her daughter, she is a mahram to him, and it is permissible for her to uncover herself, and for him to shake her hand. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
