If he divorces his wife, does he greet her mother?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 16790 )
Q1: I married a woman and then divorced her. Is it permissible for me to shake her mother's hand?
A1: It is permissible for a man who married a woman and then divorced her to shake her mother's hand; because by his contract with the woman, her mother and her grandmothers become permanently forbidden to him, and they thereby become mahram (relatives one may not marry) to him, so they do not have to cover themselves from him, and he may shake their hands. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
