One who curses her children or her husband

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 1472 )
Q: I have a wife who gave birth to eight children, and they are all still alive. Among them is a daughter who leaves our house without my permission. I hit her, and her mother cursed the daughter, her father, and her father’s father. After six months, the daughter left without my permission, and I hit her. Her mother then cursed my mother, saying, “O your husband,” three times in a row. I have suffered great harm from this cursing. Despite this, the aforementioned woman taught me two parts of the Qur’an by heart and taught me the Three Fundamental Beliefs by heart. But even with this, it did not deter her from cursing me and my parents. I ask for your fatwa.
A: If the matter is as the questioner described, then the cursing that came from the woman is a sin against Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) and an overstepping of the rights of the daughter, her mother, her father, and her husband’s mother. It is obligatory for her to repent to Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). This is done by feeling remorse for the sin, ceasing from it, and resolving not to return to it. She must also seek forgiveness from the one she cursed. Allah the Exalted said:
O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحًا
[At-Tahrim 66:8]

And Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
[Az-Zumar 39:53]
The scholars have agreed that this verse is about those who repent. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
