Q2: Whatis the ruling on a woman leaving her husband's house without his permission, and staying at her father's house without her husband's permission,and preferring obedience to her father over obedience to her husband? Knowing, O honorable Shaykh, that her husband is a Muslim man who is committed to his religion. Please issue a ruling for us, may Allah reward you with good.
A2: It is not permissible for a woman to leave her husband's house except with his permission, whether for her parents or for anyone else; because that is one of his rights over her, unless there is a legitimate Shari'ah reason that compels her to leave. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
