Q2: I married a woman who constantly displays her adornment in her home in the manner of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, and in the markets and festivals. I ordered her to cover herself as in the Noble Qur'an, but she refused. And yet I love her.
A2: You did well in ordering her to cover herself and not displaying her adornment to foreign men. It is obligatory for her not to leave her house except with her husband's permission, and if she goes out, she must be covered and modest, not wearing clothes of adornment. We advise you to be patient and not to rush into divorce, while continuing to advise her and guide her to good; perhaps Allah will guide her through your efforts. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
