Taking money from his wealth and spending it on his soul after his death
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17951 )
Q2: Is it permissible for us to take money from his wealth and spend it on his soul after his death?
A2: The deceased’s wealth is used to pay off his debt if he had one, then his lawful bequest is carried out if he left one, and the remainder goes to his heirs according to the shares prescribed by the Shari'ah. If one of the heirs wishes to give charity from his own wealth on behalf of the deceased, that is a good thing, and reward from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is hoped for the deceased.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
