The second question of Fatwa No. ( 4546 )
Q2: I have a husband who has livestock with me, and he forbade me, by the right of Allah, from giving the livestock any grain until he returns. He was delayed in returning, and I feared they would die of hunger, so I fed them from the grain he had forbidden me, by Allah, to give them. I gave it to them out of fear for them from hunger. What is required of me regarding this?
Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
A2: If the situation is as you described, there is no blame on you for what you did as mentioned; rather, you will be rewarded, if Allah wills; because it is not permissible for you or your husband to let the animals go without food; as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 1692Hasan (Al-Albani) And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
