Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 10618 )
Q3: I am poor and I have no money for the cost of marriage, and a man came to me and said to me: I have a daughter, but her bridal gift is that I work for him for a month so that it would be
her bridal gift, and his daughter accepted this offer. Is this permissible in Islam, and is this a valid marriage?
A3: If the matter is as mentioned, it is permissible to make the woman's bridal gift working for her father for a month, and the marriage is valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
