A man concealing from his wife that he is infertile
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 8592 )
Q1: I am an infertile man, I have no children, but my wife does not know that; because I asked the doctor not to tell her, fearing that she would leave and abandon me. Have I committed a sin in that? Because I knew that I was infertile before my marriage to her, and I did not disclose it to her?
A1: You must repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness for what occurred from you of concealing what you believe in yourself regarding infertility; because that is deception of her. Ask her for forgiveness and make her heart at ease, perhaps she will be content with marital life with you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
