The third question of Fatwa No. ( 19595 )
Q3: I have a problem, O Shaykh, and this problem is: we have a neighbor whose husband is abroad in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , and he works in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , but she—praise be to Allah—prays and does everything that pleases Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). Sometimes she appears before me and talks to me about matters of religion, and asks me to buy her some tapes of the Noble Qur'an, valuable lectures, and other useful tapes. This has been her custom for a long time, approximately six years. What should I do now, and is there any advice you would give? Please inform us of this, and may Allah reward you with good.
A3: There is no blame on you for gifting this non-mahram woman some beneficial Islamic tapes that are free from what is prohibited by the Shari'ah. You should strive to deliver them to her through some of your female mahrams, as this is more cautious for your religion and further from places of doubt, suspicion, and temptation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
