Q3: Is it permissible for an elderly woman to shake hands with a man who is not her mahram?
A3: It is not permissible for an elderly woman, nor for any other woman, to shake hands with a man who is not her mahram; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Ibn Majah 2874Sahih (Darussalam) narrated by Malik and Ibn Majah and Ahmad and al-Nasa'i , and this includes both the elderly and the young, out of fear of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
