Fatwa number ( 2382 )
Q: Our grandfather, our mother’s father, passed away, leaving behind our mother Munira bint Ali, her sister Latifa, and our grandmother Nura, our mother’s mother. Then Munira, our mother, passed away after her father’s death, and then her mother Nura passed away. We ask: Do Munira’s children inherit their mother Munira bint Ali’s share from her father, or not?
A: If the matter is as stated, then Munira’s heirs inherit from her what she left of the estate after executing her lawful bequest and paying off her debts, including what she inherited from her father. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
