Q1: Is buying and selling forbidden after the tawaf, i.e., the Farewell Tawaf, in Makkah or not?
A1: Buying and selling are not forbidden after the Farewell Tawaf, but if the pilgrim performs the farewell and then delays for a long time, it is prescribed that he repeat the tawaf.
Q3: Does 'Umrah performed at a time other than Hajj require a Farewell Tawaf or not?
A3: It is prescribed for the one performing 'Umrah, especially if he stays in Makkah after completing his 'Umrah, to perform the Farewell Tawaf when he leaves the noble Makkah , but it is not obligatory for him according to the correct opinion of the scholars.
Q4: Is a menstruating woman excused from the farewell or not?
A4: Yes, a woman is excused from the Farewell Tawaf if she is menstruating at the time she leaves the noble Makkah , and the same applies to a woman with post-natal bleeding; based on the statement of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):
The people were commanded (by the Holy Prophet) to perform the last circumambulation round the House, but menstruating women were exempted.أمر الناس أن يكون آخر عهدهم بالبيت، إلا أنه خفف عن المرأة الحائض
Sahih Muslim 1328a
, agreed upon as authentic.

Q6: Is it obligatory for one who has performed the farewell to exit from the Gate of Farewell? And is it obligatory for the one arriving to enter from the Gate of Peace?
A6: It is not obligatory for the one performing the farewell to exit from the gate named the Gate of Farewell, nor is it obligatory for the one arriving to enter from the Gate of Peace. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
