Borrowing with riba to buy land and praying in it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 20002 )
Q: We are a group of Muslim Moroccans residing in Germany. We have rented a place for prayer for all times, Jumu'ah, and the festivals. Due to the large number of worshippers there—praise be to Allah—the German government has prohibited us from praying there because it is narrow and in an unsuitable location. We now wish to buy a large place outside the town, and the German authorities have agreed to our purchase. The price of the place is 3.5 million marks, and we only have 1.5 million marks. Is it permissible for us to borrow the remaining amount from the bank with riba to buy this place? Is this considered a necessity? And if it is bought with riba, is it permissible to pray in it until other places for prayer are found in this town? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you.
A: It is not permissible for you to borrow with riba; because Allah has forbidden riba and intensified the warning for those who deal in it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who eats riba, the one who gives it, the two witnesses, and the scribe. Riba is not permissible under any circumstances. Do not buy this place you mentioned unless you have the financial ability to do so without resorting to riba. Pray according to your ability, either gathered together or scattered into groups in multiple places.
