Q: Some of our Muslim brothers, on the night of the entry of the blessed month of Ramadan, do not have a radio and wait for the news until the sun rises, and then they complete their fasting. Is their fast valid, or must they make it up?
A: They were correct in abstaining for the rest of the day, and they must make up one day in its place. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
