The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7790 )
Q2: On one of the days of the noble month of Ramadan, and during the time of fasting as well, I was sleeping and I experienced a wet dream. What is the ruling on this, and is there an expiation for it?
A2: If a person experiences a wet dream while fasting, or while in the state of ihram for Hajj or 'Umrah, he commits no sin and owes no expiation, and it does not affect his fast, his Hajj, or his 'Umrah. He must perform the full ritual bath (ghusl) if he has discharged semen. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
