Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 8324 )
Q5: I am a person whose work involves continuous travel in search of a livelihood, and I perform the obligatory prayers combined continuously while traveling, and I break my fast during the month of Ramadan. Is this permissible for me or not?
A5: It is permissible for you while traveling to shorten the four-rak'ah prayers and to combine the midday and afternoon prayers in the time of one of them, and to combine the sunset and night prayers in the time of one of them. It is also permissible for you to break your fast during the month of Ramadan while traveling, and it is obligatory for you to make up the days you broke your fast from Ramadan; because Allah the Exalted said:
and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other daysوَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:185]

And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
