A traveler by plane from Riyadh to Cairo in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 882 )
Q1: A man is traveling by plane from Riyadh to Cairo in Ramadan. Is it permissible for him to break his fast?
A1: Breaking the fast while traveling is a dispensation (rukhsah) by which Allah (Mighty and Majestic) facilitates matters for His servants and removes what is difficult for them. Taking what Allah has permitted as a dispensation is beloved to Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), for Allah loves that His dispensations be taken just as He dislikes that His disobedience be committed. If a person travels to Cairo , for example, in Ramadan, he may break his fast, and if he fasts, his fast is valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
