Questions seven and eight from Fatwa number ( 2578 )
Q 7: If I am the owner of a trading and contracting company, and I want to go to Egypt or Syria or Sudan or Pakistan or any foreign country, and I bring workers with whom I have agreed on a monthly wage, paying one person 800, eight hundred riyals, or 1,000 riyals, but if I bring him to me and an employer hires him for 2,000 riyals, I give him his wage of 1,000 riyals, and I take the rest as profit, is that permissible? Knowing that the company owner bears a heavy burden from this person: first, bringing him from a distant place, and second, bearing responsibility for him before the state or any rights holder.
A 7: If one hires a person for an agreed-upon monthly amount, and then hires him out to another person for a higher amount, that is permissible; because this is from the leasing of benefits, and it is permissible in the original Shari'ah, but it is conditioned that this be in the same type of work for which the contract was made.
