Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 16436 )
Q3: The owner of a car left it in a showroom, and the showroom owner sold it for (21,000 riyals), knowing that the car owner had set the price at 20,000 riyals. The showroom owner then deducted 1,000 riyals as a commission and did not inform him of this, but told him: "I sold it for only 20,000." What is the ruling on this 1,000 riyals that the showroom owner took?
A3: It is not permissible for the aforementioned agent to take the amount exceeding what the principal set, except with his permission.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
