Ruling on taking a percentage from sponsored workers
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 20057 )
Q5: Whatis the ruling on taking a percentage from sponsored workersat the end of every month and distributing them to various places to work for people, and taking a percentage from each of them at the end of every month? Or, for example, he has three farm workers, so he leaves two of them to work for people and keeps one to work with him on his farm. When the end of the month comes, he takes 300 riyals from each of the two, so the total he takes from them is 600 riyals, for example, and he gives it to the third one who works for him as his wage. The question is: What is the ruling on this action? May Allah guide you and preserve you.
A5: It is not permissible to take a percentage from workers and leave them to work for someone other than their sponsor. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
