The reward of what a Muslim plants in his lifetime

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 8455 )
Q2: Does the benefit of the fruits of trees, such as grapes and pomegranates, that a deceased person planted reach him in the Hereafter, and does the person who takes care of them by watering and maintaining them also receive charity from them?
A2: He benefits from it if he was a Muslim; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him.ما من مسلم يغرس غرسًا أو يزرع زرعًا فيأكل منه دابة أو طير أو إنسان، إلا كان له صدقة
Sahih al-Bukhari 2320
, and it is hoped that the person who takes over the planting after his companion by watering and caring for it will receive the same; because the bounty of Allah is vast. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
