I used to leave off prayer when I was in an angry state, and now I am consistent with it. Do I have to make up the prayers I missed?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : How many times did I pray and then leave off prayer from time to time when I was in an angry state? But now I am consistent with it, and likewise with fasting; for the past three years, I have not left it off. Do I have to make up the prayers I missed? What is the ruling? Please guide us, may Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : Making up the prayers and fasting that you intentionally left off is not prescribed for you, because it will not benefit you. Every act of worship that is bound by a specific time, having a beginning and an end, if a person delays it beyond its time without an excuse, it is not accepted from him. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected. من عمل عملاً ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718b
. And whoever delays the prayer beyond its time prescribed by the Shari'ah has done a deed for which there is no command from Allah and His Messenger, so it is rejected.
And based on this, we say to thisThe questioner : It is sufficient for you to be sincere in your repentance to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), to rectify your deeds, to feel remorse for what has passed, and to resolve not to return to such forbidden deeds in the future. We ask Allah to grant us and you steadfastness upon His religion.

The questioner : May Allah thank you and magnify your reward.
