Hajj at the expense of another: Is it valid?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 733 )
Q: She came to the Kingdom and it was facilitated for her to perform the obligatory Hajj at the expense of her host. She asks whether this Hajj counts as the Hajj of Islam, given that she did not spend any of her own money on her Hajj?
A: The fact that she did not spend any of her own money on the performance of the obligatory Hajj, or that she spent a small amount while others spent a large amount on the costs of her Hajj, does not affect its validity. Therefore, if her Hajj fulfilled the conditions, pillars, and obligations, it discharges the obligation of Hajj from her, even if others bore its costs. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
