Breaking the fast during voluntary fasting
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 10195 )
Q1: What is the ruling on one who fasts voluntarily and then breaks the fast during the fast? Does he owe anything?
A1: It is permissible for one who is fasting voluntarily to break the fast during the fast, and he owes no make-up fast; because the one who fasts voluntarily has a choice in it before beginning, so he has a choice in it after beginning. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
