The Estimation of Deeds Is in the Hand of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 2264 )
Q: Is there a person who fasted six days of Shawwal after the month of Ramadan, except that he did not complete the fasting of Ramadan, as he had broken the fast for ten days of Ramadan for a valid religious excuse? Does he receive the reward of one who completed the fasting of Ramadan and followed it with six days of Shawwal, becoming like one who fasted the entire year? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: The estimation of the reward for the deeds that servants perform for Allah is the exclusive prerogative of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). If a servant seeks reward from Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) and strives in His obedience, his reward will not be lost, as the Exalted said:
indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds.إِنَّا لاَ نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلا
[Al-Kahf 18:30]
And it is incumbent upon one who has
some days of Ramadan remaining to fast them first, and then fast six days of Shawwal; because following the fasting of Ramadan with six days of Shawwal is not realized for him unless he has completed his fasting. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
