Getting rid of unlawful wealth to purify the self and the wealth

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 14782 )
Q1: I have brothers, one of whom obtained unlawful wealth, and this wealth became mixed with their lawful wealth. It is known that this unlawful wealth is a small amount. All of these brothers have met the three conditions of sincere repentance between the servant and his Lord. Do they have to extract this unlawful wealth from their wealth so that their state is free from doubt, or what should they do? And if they extract it, where should they spend it?
A1: Yes, they should get rid of it if they know its amount or an approximation of it from their wealth, by spending it in the causes of righteousness. It is not considered charity, but rather it is a matter of getting rid of unlawful wealth; to purify their souls and their wealth from it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
