Q2: Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has commanded us to establish the weight with justice and not to defraud in the scale. I work in one of the bakeries in Cairo with the dough, and I have no other profession, as it is my source of livelihood. However, the owners of the bakeries, most of them, or if you wish, all of them, order us to reduce the weight of the loaf, and in fact, I witness this crime, and even participate in it, knowing that I am ordered by the owner of this bakery, not to mention what we mix with the flour. Should I leave this job, since it is my source of livelihood, or what should I do?
A2: Allah the Exalted has forbidden cheating in measure and weight, which is defrauding and reducing. He said:[Al-Mutaffifin 83:1-6] . It is obligatory for you to weigh with justice, in obedience to the command of Allah the Exalted, and do not obey those who order you to cheat, even if you are dismissed from your job. And whoever leaves something for the sake of Allah, Allah will replace it with something better. And you must advise those who order you to cheat and remind them of Allah the Exalted, perhaps Allah will guide them and they will accept the advice.

(1) Woe to those who give less [than due], (2) Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. (3) But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. (4) Do they not think that they will be resurrected (5) For a tremendous Day - (6) The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
وَيْلٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ (1) الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ (2) وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ (3) أَلا يَظُنُّ أُولَئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ (4) لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ (5) يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
