A: If you intend to work and seek sustenance, you must travel to the lands of the Muslims for that purpose, as they are sufficient for you without the lands of the disbelievers; due to the danger that traveling to the lands of disbelief poses to creed, religion, and morals. It is not permissible to acquire the nationality of the disbelievers; due to the submission to them and falling under their rule that this entails. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
