Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 6779 )
Q4: What is the ruling on people celebrating the 'Aqiqah and the wedding feast?
A4: The 'Aqiqah: is what is slaughtered for the newborn on the seventh day of his birth, and the wedding feast: is what is served of food at the wedding, such as a slaughtered animal or the like. Both are a recommended practice (sunnah), and gathering for that to eat the food, share in the joy, and announce the marriage is good. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
