The first question of Fatwa No. ( 10664 )
Q1: While I was on my way to perform 'Umrah on the 24th of Muharram, 1407 AH, and upon my arrival at the miqat, I developed inflammation in my nose, and as a result, I was admitted to the hospital. After a full day, I was discharged from the hospital
and I performed the 'Umrah. Please note that I made a condition during my ihram at the miqat, saying: "If I am prevented by a preventer, then my place of exit is where I am prevented." What is the ruling on this 'Umrah, and is it accepted, if Allah wills?
A1: If the matter is as you described, that you entered ihram from the miqat, and then you performed tawaf and sa'y, then your 'Umrah is valid, and what befell you has no effect on its validity. Acceptance is from Allah the Exalted. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
