Q: I have a piece of land next to an endowment (waqf) that I live in, and it all belongs to Allah. Then, in the direction of my property, if something takes over without my knowing, because it has no boundaries, like a hand's width or an arm's length, is that a sin or not? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
A: It is obligatory for you to take caution and be wary of the endowment land next to you. If you are mistaken about any part of the land, leave it as part of the endowment and do not plant anything of yours in it. In the hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 5711Sahih (Darussalam) . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
