Praying at the workplace when a mosque is nearby

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The ninth question from Fatwa number ( 5168 )
Q: A man works at a company, and there are more than three mosques around the company building. He always goes to the mosque to pray. His colleagues pray at the company entrance, and they want him to pray with them at the company and not go to the mosque. Some of his brothers have issued him a ruling to pray with them and deliver sermons and lessons to them after the prayer, on the grounds that he is the most knowledgeable among them regarding the Sunnah and prayer with them, even though there is someone more proficient in recitation and memorization than he is. Should he listen to his mufti, or should he continue praying in the mosque, disregarding what they told him?
A9: It is obligatory for the company employees to pray with the congregation of one of the mosques near the company building, just as their colleague does. He is the one who is correct in his prayer in the mosque, and they are the ones who are in error in their prayer at the company entrance; for the authentic hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicate the obligation of performing the prayer with the congregation in the mosque, and it is not permissible to delay it except for a valid religious excuse. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
