Among the matters in which people are negligent are the rulings of Hajj to the House of Allah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Some people are negligent in their Hajj, and then when they come back, they stand asking: "I did such and such, I did such and such." Perhaps they do not ask until many years later. Perhaps they may have married before exiting the state of ihram, or perhaps they may have had intercourse with their wife before exiting the state of ihram. This is a problem. Therefore, it is obligatory for a person to first learn the rulings of Hajj.
It is also obligatory for him, secondly, if he returns and doubts about something in his Hajj acts and is unable to find a scholar to ask in Makkah, that he should ask as soon as he returns.
We are put in a difficult position by people who ask us about errors in a Hajj performed ten years or more ago. For example, a man performed Hajj but did not perform the Tawaf of Ifadah because he saw the severe crowd, so he did not perform it. Then he returned and married. What do you say about his marriage? Most scholars say that his marriage is not valid, and that it is obligatory for him to go to Makkah and perform the Tawaf of Ifadah, and then contract the marriage anew. Look at the danger! And many people do not care about this. If he had asked in Makkah and been informed of the truth and acted upon the truth, he would have been safe from these problems.
Therefore, I say: It is obligatory for a person, if he does something he thinks is an error, to ask. If he is not successful in asking before the act, let him hasten to ask about what he suspects to be problematic.
