The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14838 )
Q2: What is amanah in Islam, and what is the reality of amanah in Islam? Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I want you to answer these questions for me. May Allah reward you with good.
A2: The reality of amanah is what the accountable person is entrusted with from the commands and prohibitions of the Shari'ah, such as prayer, fasting, zakah, obligatory duties, fixed punishments, and other obligations. This includes the deposits of people. It is obligatory for a person to fulfill the amanah in this regard so that he may receive the reward from Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Just as neglecting the fulfillment of the amanah exposes the accountable person to punishment. Allah the Exalted said:[An-Nisa 4:58], and He the Exalted said: [Al-Ahzab 33:72] up to His saying: [An-Nisa 4:96]

Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
